Linksys WRT54G2

Linksys WRT54G has long been a top-selling wireless router, thanks to its low price and decent set of features. It's getting a bit old though and it's time for a successor. The name, something as inventive as Linksys WRT54G2, is of course proof of how popular the last model was. Even if the 802.11n protocol is starting to find its way onto the market, Linksys has chosen to keep a low profile with the WRT54G2. The predecessor was a popular budget choice and it seems that the successor will target the same buyers.
The router sports wireless networking (802.11b/g) and a 4-port 10/100 switch for some wired networking. It would've been nice with some 802.11n and Gigabit Ethernet support, but that would've pushed up the price to a whole other segment than the $50 WRT54G2 costs today.
The biggest news perhaps is the new design which follows the same clean concept as the Ultra RangePlus family (WRT160N and WAG160N). From now on there's no need to hide the router, and the integrated antenna will work just as well as external versions, says Linksys.
